Ana Maria Cárdenas studied photography at The New England School of Photography. After graduating in 2002 she began working with commercial studios in the Boston area. Never one to sit still for too long, and looking to get out of the studio once in a while, she started shooting weddings .
For the last four years Ana Maria has taken her creative talent and dedicated more of her time to wedding photography. Combining a photojournalistic approach with and editorial edge, she creates elegant, intimate, unique images that reflect the emotions of the wedding celebrations she photographs. Her philosophy is to step back and let the day unfold naturally before the camera. It is with this unobtrusive approach that she can observe the day’s events and capture those tender, funny and unexpected moments that combine to tell a memorable story.
She says that she considers it a privilege to be chosen as a couple’s wedding photographer; to be invited into their lives and their families; and to share the day with them.
